Once in a lifetime

A local business, not insured through ourselves, suffered a horrendous experience, involving the murder of a member of staff, on their own premises.
Through a personal connection, we offered our services in connection with the resultant insurance claim and were quickly able to establish that their insurance brokers, a large and “multi award winning” company had significantly failed in their duty of care, when the policy was first arranged 5 years before.
After protracted negotiation we secured a substantial settlement, out of court, to recompense the business for these failings.
More importantly, at a time when the business seemed to have no future and did not feel inclined to continue trading, because of the awful circumstances surrounding their loss, we were able to provide practical support when it was most needed.
